Turkish Handmade Ceramic Bowls with Rumi Design – Unique Piece from Iznik
Turkish Handmade Ceramic Bowls with Rumi Design – Unique Piece from Iznik
Born in the 15th century. It will arrive at your home in 15 days.
This bowl is a living interpretation of the blue and white tiles of the Muradiye Mosque in Edirne, built in 1435. The Rumi motif — a symbol of Anatolia's artistic legacy and spiritual quest — has been reinterpreted with contemporary sensibility to fit into modern spaces without losing an ounce of its historical soul.
What you hold when you have this bowl in your hands is the result of an uninterrupted chain of master ceramists from İznik, the cradle of Ottoman ceramics, who have passed down their techniques from generation to generation. No factories. No molds. No replicas.

Each Iznik Mavi Cini piece is crafted following the ancient tradition of Iznik pottery, considered in world literature to be "the impossible ceramic to produce." Its uniqueness lies in the use of quartz as the raw material in every layer , a complex process requiring great skill and in which much of the material is lost during shaping and firing.
Made with hand-crafted quartz and natural clay , combined with metallic oxide pigments and a vitreous enamel that enhances each piece with a unique finish, these creations are truly one-of-a-kind works of art. Through ongoing research, design, and refinement, we are able to rescue an endangered art form and pass it on to new generations, blending tradition and innovation in every detail.
To preserve its beauty, we recommend gentle hand washing with a damp cloth or soft sponge , avoiding the use of abrasive products or scouring pads that could damage the glaze and hand-painted details. Dishwasher and microwave use are not recommended, as these may alter the colors and finishes.
