The Cicim technique is considered the aristocracy of Turkish flat weaving, and this 120 x 168 cm piece masterfully demonstrates this. Crafted with a discontinuous weave, it creates subtle reliefs impossible to reproduce industrially. The wool has been hand-spun using a traditional spinning wheel, developing intentional irregularities that add uniqueness. Only around 200 artisans in Anatolia have fully mastered this technique, which requires 15 years of apprenticeship.
