Kutnu "Fertility" Cushion Cover - Celestial Turquoise Embroidery

Each cushion is made with the exclusive kutnu fabric, a glossy surface with multicolored vertical stripes, handwoven on handlooms with silk threads in the warp (lengthwise) and cotton in the weft (crosswise). The reverse side is 100% cotton with a concealed zipper.

The art of kutnu weaving is practiced only in Gaziantep, in southeastern Anatolia, and is one of the oldest examples of Turkish textile art. Historically known as "Palace Cloth," this fabric was used to make the kaftans of the Ottoman sultans and has symbolized elegance and distinction since the 16th century.

Some designs include embroidery inspired by traditional Anatolian motifs, adding an extra layer of craftsmanship to each piece. As these are handwoven products, natural variations of 1–2 cm in size may occur; these characteristics of handcrafted work make each cushion a unique and unrepeatable piece.

For its care, professional dry cleaning is recommended exclusively. Keep away from fire, direct sunlight, and sharp objects to preserve the delicacy of the silk fibers.
