Persian art comes alive in your home. Suzani, a word meaning "needle" in Farsi, is an ancestral hand embroidery technique where local graphic artists draw patterns on silk or cotton, later embroidered with pure silk threads by exceptionally talented Uzbek artisans. Each design is stretched on a frame and, depending on complexity, embroidery can take months of dedicated work.
These pillows are true textile art pieces decorated with traditional Anatolian and Central Asian motifs, hand-dyed with natural dyes. The Suzani aesthetic perfectly adapts to boho-chic and bohemian style, but its versatility also works when combined with contemporary, modern, or traditional décor, creating sophisticated contrasts.
The magic lies in imperfection. Since each piece is hand-embroidered with natural dyes, artisan work is naturally irregular and coloring is never perfectly uniform. This means two similar pillows may have different tonalities, making yours absolutely unique. This irregularity isn't a flaw: it's the signature of genuinely handmade work.

Each La Casa Antica cushion is handcrafted in Istanbul using fine materials selected for their exceptional quality. We work with silk velvet, which offers a soft and luminous texture, natural European linen known for its durability, and weaving and embroidery techniques that require absolute mastery. The choice of material reflects a constant pursuit of lasting beauty.
Artisanal Techniques
Our pieces are born from three ancient techniques: Ikat , originating in Indonesia, where the threads are dyed before weaving, creating unique and unrepeatable patterns; Suzani , a Persian word meaning "needle," is a hand-embroidered technique that requires weeks of delicate work; and silk velvet , woven on traditional looms that give it depth and a natural sheen. Each cushion passes through the hands of artisans who inherit knowledge passed down for generations.
