Origin and Materials

Each La Casa Antica cushion is handcrafted in Istanbul using fine materials selected for their exceptional quality. We work with silk velvet, which offers a soft and luminous texture, natural European linen known for its durability, and weaving and embroidery techniques that require absolute mastery. The choice of material reflects a constant pursuit of lasting beauty.

Artisanal Techniques

Our pieces are born from three ancient techniques: Ikat , originating in Indonesia, where the threads are dyed before weaving, creating unique and unrepeatable patterns; Suzani , a Persian word meaning "needle," is a hand-embroidered technique that requires weeks of delicate work; and silk velvet , woven on traditional looms that give it depth and a natural sheen. Each cushion passes through the hands of artisans who inherit knowledge passed down for generations.

The LCA aesthetic is characterized by its timelessness. The geometric patterns of ikat, the floral motifs of suzani, and carefully selected color combinations make each cushion a collector's item. No two ikat or suzani cushions are exactly alike due to their handcrafted nature, turning your space into a personal gallery.
